I've Moved

I've moved.... nothing exciting like to a new house or anything, but I have moved to a new blog. I've reached a point here where I can't upload more pictures (perhaps a sign that I take/post too many? or maybe a sign that I need to stop being lazy and compress the photos to smaller sizes before posting them?) But in any case, I started a new blog. I decided to use Wordpress for hosting the blog because they have some different features that I was interested in. Let me know what you think!

Oatmeal

I've been meaning to post these for your viewing pleasure. This was Colleen's first time with oatmeal. She had the baby oatmeal stuff way back when she was, well, a baby, but this was the first time she ate the flavored stuff (Maple & Brown Sugar, I believe). She usually won't eat things with mushy textures (she gets that trait from Aunt Kathy), but it seems like she liked the oatmeal:

I don't have any adorable pictures of Ryan today, but he'll be getting plenty of screen time in the coming weeks as he begins nursery school soon. He found out the name of his teacher yesterday, and seems to be getting really excited about the idea of school. I think he's going to be just fine with it - until that moment when we (mommy & daddy) leave him there. Then he might not be so fond of it... we'll see!

He'll also be the feature of many cute photos next month when he is the ring bearer in our friends' wedding. He was fitted for his tux last night and is starting to get really excited about the wedding. Up until this point, I wasn't really sure if he would protest - but I think he'll do ok!

The kiddies & I are off for a long weekend in Vermont while Kevin completes his journey on the Northville-Placid Trail. Summer is coming to an end too quick!

Sleepover at Becca's

Summer weather is finally here! The kids have been spending lots of time in their little pool & sprinkler, and our A/C is finally getting a work out. I'm not complaining - winter weather will be here all too soon.

This past weekend, we got to be a last minute replacement babysitter for Rebecca. Ryan & Colleen had a lot of fun playing with all of Rebecca's toys (they've missed her toys - and her- since she moved away from next door!). Since Dan & Emily were at a wedding and not expected home until late, we stayed the night. Here are the kids in the AM after their first sleepover at Becca's!

Miss Colleen is now 21 months old! I forgot to take an "official 21 months old" picture - I always forget at least one, so I tried to get one of just her this morning. This was the best I got. She wasn't too cooperative. She's talking up a storm now. Ryan told me today that he's so proud that his baby sister knows so many words. Some of her new favorites are "MIIINNNEEEE", "ohhh doggy" & "good copy" (both daddy phrases), "I'm crying" (just in case you didn't notice her standing in front of you in tears), "Bless you" (no matter if you sneeze, cough or blow your nose, she blesses you. Over and over again), and "shampoop". Yes, last night she insisted that she wanted "shampoop" in her hair - and it made me laugh... really hard! We just love this little girl to pieces!
